GroceryAI portal accessibility statement

What it covers

This statement covers the GroceryAI portal, groceryai.ai/app: sign-in and the pages a store uses to get ready and to manage products, deliveries, people and connections. It does not yet cover the other pages of this website.

The standard

The reference is WCAG 2.2, level AA (the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).

Status

Partially conformant. The automated checks and keyboard tests we run on every change all pass; tests with screen readers and with the browsers listed below have not been done yet, so we cannot say the portal conforms in full.

How we measure it

• Automated checks with axe-core (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rules, levels A and AA) on every portal page, with test data, at 390 px (phone) and 1280 px (wide screen): 659 of 659 checks passed in the latest run.
• Keyboard tests on the same pages: every control can be reached with the Tab key, in reading order, and shows where it is.
• The ring that shows the active control has a contrast of at least 9.8:1 against the colour next to it (the standard asks for 3:1), measured on every control, at 390 and 1280 px.

What you will find in the portal

• A “Skip to content” link as the first element of every page.
• Portal search: Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) opens the sections and actions your role can use; “?” shows the keyboard shortcuts.
• Every page has its own title; form errors are linked to their field and announced.
• Dialogs keep focus inside and return it to where you were when they close; Esc closes them.
• Text and controls work at 390 px wide without horizontal scrolling.

Known limits (not measured yet)

• Safari and Firefox: the tests run on Chromium.
• Screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, TalkBack): not tested yet.
• A 320 px width and text enlarged to 200%: not measured yet.
• Operating-system high-contrast modes: not tested yet. The portal has a dark theme only.
• Downloaded files (CSV) follow the file format, not these rules.
